Affiliate Terms

These Affiliate Terms govern Garren's affiliate program (the "Program"). "Garren", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the company that operates Garren. "You" means the person or the organisation taking part in the Program as an affiliate. The Program is part of Garren's services, so our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply too. Where they differ, these Affiliate Terms apply to the Program. By applying, you agree to them.

1. Joining the Program

  • You must be at least 18 years old and have a Garren account. You apply from Refer and earn in the Garren app.
  • We may accept or decline any application, and we may ask about where and how you plan to promote Garren. Accounts on a paid plan may be approved automatically; we review other applications, usually within two working days.
  • One affiliate account per person or organisation. The details you give us, including your payout and tax details, must be accurate and kept up to date.

2. Your link and what counts as a referral

  • After approval you get a personal link, such as garren.si/?via=yourname. It works on every page of garren.si.
  • A referral is a person who clicks your link, creates a new Garren account within 60 days of that click, and has not paid for Garren before. If they click several affiliates' links, the last click before they sign up counts. Once an account is credited to you, it stays yours.
  • Tracking uses the link and cookies on garren.si. If a visitor blocks cookies, clears them, or signs up on another device or browser without clicking your link again, the referral may not be tracked. We are not responsible for referrals that could not be tracked.

3. Commission

  • You earn 30 % of every payment a referral makes in the first 12 months after their first payment: monthly and yearly plans and credit packs. A yearly plan paid upfront earns 30 % of that payment once.
  • Commission is calculated on the amount actually paid, without sales tax, VAT and similar taxes, and after discounts. Payments that are refunded, partly refunded, charged back or disputed earn nothing on the amount that went back.
  • Once 5 of your referrals have paid, you earn 35 % on every payment of your referrals from then on. Some plans can also unlock the 35 % rate or carry a one-time bonus; where they do, this and its conditions are shown on garren.si/affiliates when the referral first pays for that plan.
  • People who sign up through your link get 20 bonus credits with their first paid plan. Credits have no cash value.
  • We may change the commission rate, the bonuses or other Program details for the future by telling you at least 30 days in advance. Commissions on payments made before a change keep the old terms.

4. Payment

  • A commission becomes payable 30 days after the payment it comes from. Payouts go out once a month, in US dollars, when at least $50 is payable; a smaller balance carries over to the next month.
  • We pay through FirstPromoter, our affiliate platform, to the PayPal account you add in your affiliate dashboard. We may ask for a tax form (such as a W-9 or W-8BEN) and hold payouts until we have it.
  • You are responsible for the taxes on what you earn. Fees your own bank or payment provider charges you are yours.
  • If a payment is refunded, charged back or disputed after we paid you its commission, we take that amount off your next payouts.

5. How you may promote Garren

You may promote Garren on your own channels, websites, videos, newsletters and social accounts, and to people who asked to hear from you. You may not:

  • bid on "Garren", "garren.si" or misspellings or variations of them in search or other ads, or run ads that send people straight to garren.si or the app;
  • send unsolicited email, messages or DMs, post comment spam, or break any anti-spam law;
  • earn on your own sign-ups or on accounts you, your company or your clients control, or create accounts to earn commission;
  • use cookie stuffing, hidden frames, forced clicks, bots or any other way of setting your link without a real click;
  • pay or reward people for signing up, unless we agreed to it in writing;
  • pose as Garren or its team, register domains, handles or pages with "Garren" in the name, or alter the Garren logo;
  • list discounts, coupons or offers that Garren doesn't offer, or promise prices, features or results that garren.si doesn't;
  • promote Garren next to content that is illegal, hateful, adult or misleading.

Tell your audience that you earn a commission when they buy through your link, as the law requires (for example the US FTC's endorsement rules).

6. Our name and materials

While you take part, you may use the Garren name, logo and the materials in the affiliate kit on garren.si/affiliates to promote Garren under these Affiliate Terms. You may not change them in a way that misleads. We may withdraw this permission at any time, and it ends with your participation.

7. Fraud and enforcement

If we reasonably believe you broke these Affiliate Terms, or that a referral or a payment is fraudulent, we may withhold or reverse the commissions concerned, suspend your link, or end your participation. Commissions that come from a breach are not payable. Our records of clicks, sign-ups, payments and commissions decide what is owed, unless they are shown to be wrong.

8. Ending the Program for you

You may leave the Program at any time, and we may end your participation at any time with notice. When it ends, commissions that are already payable and don't come from a breach are paid with the next payout, or within 90 days if they are under the $50 minimum. Payments your referrals make after the end earn nothing. We may change or close the Program for everyone with 30 days' notice.

9. Independent parties

You take part as an independent contractor. Nothing in the Program makes you our employee, agent or partner in a legal sense, and you may not make promises or agreements on our behalf.

10. Liability

Sections 13 and 14 of our Terms of Service (disclaimers and limitation of liability) apply to the Program. Our total liability to you for the Program is limited to the commissions we paid you in the 12 months before the claim. You agree to defend and indemnify us against third-party claims that arise from how you promote Garren or from your breach of these Affiliate Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Affiliate Terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect; if you keep taking part after that, the updated terms apply. The date at the top shows the latest version. Governing law and disputes follow section 17 of our Terms of Service.
